2.5 Miles Major
Freeway Restoration, Rehabilitation and Resurfacing (RRR), upgrading roadway
geometry and toll plaza/ Gantry installation. I served as the lead design
engineer for this project, scope of the project included milling and
resurfacing an existing two-way three-lane divided urban freeway. I modified
the non-compliant roadway components including acceleration and deceleration
lanes, provided Open Road Toll (ORT) facility at west of NW 27 Avenue with
gantry features. I prepared typical section package, exception/ variation
package. I prepared an extensive RRR report documenting the all roadway,
drainage, signing and pavement markings components, prepared a detail log
sheets with deficient items, improved the existing drainage systems by
realigning the existing drainage swale. I performed asphalt pavement design,
prepared MOT layout, construction plans and computation books, exception/ variation
package and specification package. I prepared a RRR report documenting all
deficient components of this corridor for future improvements.
FDOT District 4: Exception
Variations, Broward And Palm Beach County Projects, 2013.
As the lead
engineer, I prepared exception package for longitudinal grade for Hollywood
Blvd from NW 44 Ave to Park Road, University Drive from Royal Palm to Sample
Road, sample Road from east of SR 7 to west of Rock Island Road, horizontal
alignment for Ocean Blvd/US 1from Boynton Beach Blvd to North Lakes and cross
slopes for University drive from Royal Palm Blvd to Sample Road. Grades,
horizontal alignment and cross slopes were deficient per AASHTO criteria.
Oaks Road Gateway Enhancement-LAP

I worked as the
project manager to assist Town of Davie in planning, designing, permitting,
preparing bid documents and specifications package. I prepared the supporting
document package for Broward County MPO Transportation Improvement Program
(TIP) for planning requirements, determined the Environmental Class of Action
and prepared documentation including National Environmental Act (NEPA) and
Endangered Species Act (ESA).I processed all necessary forms including but
not limited to LAP construction contract checklist, ROW certification,
Programmatic Categorical Exclusion Checklist, LAP Utility coordination memo
etc. I prepared the construction Plans, Specification package, and Estimates
and Construction Bid Documents, Community Awareness Plan (CAP) and mini drip
report. I performed the quality control to make sure that the project
complies with federal, state and local design standards to fulfill the LAP
agreement criteria. I coordinated and communicated with different federal,

I
served as the lead Engineer for this project, scope of the project included
milling and resurfacing an existing two-way three-lane divided urban highway.
I modified the ADA ramps, improved the existing drainage condition, prepared
typical section package, exception/ variation package, reconstructed an
intersection, modified existing rail road crossing with current standards,
executed license agreements with the adjacent property owners, performed
asphalt pavement design, modified access management issues. I provided
solution to the bottlenecking on Dolphin Expressway at NW 27 Avenue during
the pick hours by modifying off ramp geometry, channelization on NW 27 Ave
and changing the intersection plateau. I performed the partial reconstruction
of NW 20 St & NW 27 Ave intersection plateau due to the pavement and base

connections from a flush shoulder section to a curb and gutter section. I
designed horizontal & vertical geometry of this roadway, prepared

As a project
engineer, I was responsible for upgrading an existing two-way 6-lane roadway
to a two-way 8-lane roadway with median barrier walls including ramps &
bridges at interchange and cross roads. I performed hydrology &
hydraulics analysis, flood plain encroachment, conveyance systems design,
roadway alignment, profiles, and cross sections. I prepared computation book
and project cost estimation.
Turnpike Widening from Lake Worth
Road to Indian Town Road, Palm Beach County, FL- 23 miles long
roadway project development & environmental (PD&E) project, 2005.
I collected data
for the whole project for roadway, traffic and drainage information,
developed proposed typical sections and roadway alignment, searched &
reviewed all permits around the projects, estimated required additional water
quality treatment volume due to widening of the roadway from 4-lane to
8-lane, checked the treatment volume capacity of the existing road side
swales, estimated additional required swale volume for the treatment, estimated
existing cross culvert capacity and culvert extension length due to widening
and additional culvert head losses, performed a pre-post analysis by ICPR for
the different segments of the project, estimated flood encroachment storage,
suggested different design alternatives with R/W requisition for offsite
ponds. Independently worked on the whole project and completed the storm
water management report.

neighborhood from a 2-lane flush section to a curb and gutter section. I
developed cross sections and designed the drainage systems. Resolved drainage
conflicts within a very intensive utility corridor, which included large
water and sewer mains for two municipalities.

1.0 ± Mile State Road Widening
Project, 2007
Project consisted
of 1 mile long roadway improvement from Fulkenberg to Causeway Boulevard in
Hillsborough County. As a project engineer, my responsibilities
included permit search to find the existing flows directed to our
project. Analyzed the existing hydrology using EPA-SWMM model. Designed two
inter connected dry pond with control structures outfalling to Delaney Creek.
Modeled the proposed improvement using EPA-SWMM. Performed drainage system
design using GeoPak drainage. Went through the ERP permitting process under
SWFWMD.
Old Boynton Road (From Congress Ave
to Boynton Beach Blvd.), City of

Roadway Widening Project, 2005
As a project
engineer for reconstruction of an about little over a mile city street within
a residential neighborhood with numerous driveway connections from a flush
shoulder section to a curb and gutter section in the City of Boynton Beach in
Palm Beach County for the private developer (The Sembler Company). This
project also includes replacing the existing wooden bridge. I Developed
typical section and designed horizontal and vertical geometries, developed
cross sections and signing & pavement marking plan using GeoPak and
Microstation, calculated roadway and signing and marking quantities and
prepared computation book by GeoPak quantity manager. Provided drainage
design and utility coordination. Attended design review meeting with county
and responded to their comments. Supervised junior Engineers and CAD
technicians to get the work done and did the work plan and helped PM for
Scheduling.
SR 7 at Riverland (SW 20 Street),
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, FDOT D4, Intersection Safety Improvements: 2010
I was the lead
engineer for this project. The project runs in the south-north direction. I
improved the safety features at this corridor including modifications to the
existing “protected/permissive” left turn phase in the northbound and
southbound directions to convert to a “protected only” phase at the
intersection, extension of the northbound left turn lane to accommodate the
peak hour vehicle demand, installation of a ground mounted guide sign on the
south of SW 21st Street, installation of a ‘motorist
warning system’ consisting of a “Signal Ahead Warning” sign W3-3 with
flushing beacons facing the westbound traffic approaching the intersection, installation
of bike lane and, providing pedestrian features at the intersection
(including crosswalks, curbed cut ramps, pedestrian signal heads, pedestrian
countdown signals), installation of concrete sidewalk and installation of
guide stripes to properly guide westbound motorists across intersection. I
performed Mast-Arm structural analysis using FDOT MathCad template V4.3 to
consider one additional 3-signal head on each major direction. I prepared
typical section package, pavement design package, Community Awareness Plan
(CAP) and drainage mini drip report,
SR / US 441 at Southgate Boulevard,
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, FDOT D4, Intersection Safety Improvements: 2011
I was the lead
engineer. This section of SR 7/ US 441 is a 6-lane divided, classified as an
urban principal arterial, runs north and south, access class 3 and 5, with a
design speed and posted speed of 45 mph. This project addressed to all safety
recommendations from the safety study. The improvements included variable
message LED signs facing right turn traffic in all four directions. The signs
would display “Yield TO pedestrians” when the motorists have green signal and
would display “No Turn on Red” upon activation of pedestrian push button on
the cross street, a ‘queue detection and motorist warning system’ (which
consisted of vehicle detectors, ‘Prepare to Stop When Flushing’ signs with
flushing beacons, pedestrian countdown signals facing the pedestrians
crossing at all four approaches. The existing pedestrian clearance intervals
at the intersection were increased based on a pedestrian speed of 3.5 ft/sec.
The project also included milling and resurfacing of existing roadway, ADA
compliant ramps at the intersection, high emphasis cross walks on all four
approaches, installing a new mast arm. ). I prepared typical section package,

I Analyzed Traffic
Impact (DEIS and FEIS) of the expansion of Boynton Town Center in Palm Beach
County, Analyzed Traffic Impacts of Proposed commercial development, FL,
Analyzed Traffic Impacts. I prepared signing and pavement marking plans,
maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans with different construction phasing and
performed lane closure analysis to simulate the impact of closing lanes
during the construction. I modified all the curb ramps per current ADA and
FDOT design standards. I performed MUTCD traffic warrant analysis and
prepared TMS (Traffic Monitoring Site) component plans.

District 6 (FDOT District 6). 2010-2011
I am a Project
Engineer for the District-wide Drainage Design & Plans Review Consultant
Services for FDOT District 6. Within this miscellaneous type contract,
I am serving as a team member of general consultant for District 6 performing
a variety of engineering assignments. The assignments associated with this
project involve all aspects of Drainage Analysis and Design Services,
Retrofitting Existing Drainage Systems, Permit Compliance,
Hydrologic/Hydraulic Modeling, Bridge Hydraulics, Scour Analyses,
Retention/Detention Pond, French Drain, Drainage Well Analyses and Design,
Drainage Studies, and Urban & Rural System Design. My
responsibilities also include determining the current status of existing
drainage systems resulting from meetings with District 6 staff in addition to
field visits. As an extension of the FDOT District 6 Drainage Department, I
have also reviewed and commented on numerous drainage reports on behalf of
the FDOT. I have reviewed drainage reports corresponding from simple systems
adjacent to FDOT roadways to major construction projects for new roadways in
the District 6 region. I inputted all pay items in transport and made the
electronic submittal.
Alton Road Pump Station and drainage
design, Miami, FL, FDOT District 6.
From SW 5th Street to Michigan
Avenue, 2010
This area of Alton
Road flooded heavily during rainfall events and the proposed pump station
reduced or eliminated flooding conditions throughout the project area.
The pump station was composed of submerged pumps with an overflow into the
Intracoastal Waterway. I modeled the existing and proposed systems using ICPR
v3.02 stormwater modeling software in order to identify problem areas and
develop an effective solution with three (3) separate drainage pump stations
with two 10,000 gpm pumps for each stations. I was involved in the design of
the pump stations along with additional responsibilities for producing
components of construction plans using geopak drainage, Computation Book, and
the Drainage Report. Additionally to the design of the pump stations, I
performed cost estimates and coordination with manufacturers for design
specifics.
SW 107th Avenue Drainage Design.
FDOT District 6., 2010
I was involved with
the drainage design for the widening of SW 107th Avenue from
Flagler to Tamiami trail/SW 8th Street. I have
modeled the existing and proposed systems using ICPR v3.02 stormwater
modeling software in order to identify possible problem areas and develop an
effective solution. I developed a drainage report and a bridge
hydraulic report under this project.
FDOT District 1 & 7: 26 miles
long I-75 PD&E Study from Moccasin Wallow Road to south of US 301,
Manatee and Hillsborough Counties, Florida, 2008
As a project
Engineer, my responsibilities included data collections for the whole project
from different jurisdictions, and search and review of all permits around the
project. The estimate required additional water quality treatment
volume due to widening of the roadway from six-lane to eight-lane. The
treatment volume capacity of the existing road side swales were checked,
additional required swale volume for the treatment was estimated along with
existing cross culvert capacity and culvert extension length due to widening
and additional culvert head losses. I performed a pre-post analysis by
ICPR for the different segments of the project, estimated flood encroachment
storage, and suggested different design alternatives with R/W requisition for
offsite ponds. I performed pond siting analysis and pond sizing for the
entire segment. 34 pond sites were detected and sized to mitigate the water
quality and quantity requirements. Ponds were designed per the requirement of
Outstanding Florida Waters (OFW). Pond siting and Pond sizing reports were
submitted to SWFWMD and FDOT District-7.
Turnpike Widening from Sunrise Blvd to Atlantic Blvd, Broward
County, FL, 2007
As a
project engineer, I was responsible for upgrading an existing two-way 6-lane
roadway to a two-way 8-lane roadway with median barrier walls including ramps
& bridges at interchange and cross roads. I was responsible
for hydrology & hydraulics design that included surface water modeling,
watershed modeling & detention pond design by ICPR, storm drainage design
by ASAD, Trench drain design for approx. 12,000 feet flat grade pavement,
prepared drainage maps, storm sewer plans & profiles, spread sheets,
summary of drainage structures, and prepared permit reports & drainage
reports. I went through the permitting process under SFWMD.
Interchange
drainage design: Performed complete drainage design for the interchange at
Commercial Blvd including ramps, and toll plaza. I
performed design for roadway vertical and horizontal alignment, profiles,
cross sections, prepared computation book and project cost estimation.

I performed
hydrology & hydraulics Model simulation , water shed and flood plain
analysis using HEC-HMS for the entire City of Boynton Beach. Pipe sizing for
the master drainage system using ASAD, Canal routing using HEC-RAS and
Geo-RAS using City supplied data table, Flood routing for different storm
events using AdICPR to find the critical stages.

I am the Engineer
of Record (EOR) for the surface water system design and the civil design of
the museum projects. The surface water system consisted of exfiltration
trenches, onsite dry pond and five injection wells. I processed SFWMD, PERA
and FDEP permits for surface water and injection wells. I designed the
project as a self contained system with eight drainage wells. I
performed utility design, coordination.

Comprehensive Water Resources Plan. East

I assisted with the data review for the
watershed planning for the East County Water Control District (ECWCD) to
develop the comprehensive water resources plan. The Comprehensive Plan
resultED in a re-design of a number of existing structures on canals in the
areas covered by the ECWCD jurisdiction.
Hialeah Senior High School Baseball

I was responsible for the construction
phase of this project. I performed site visits for the erection of the poles
and netting for the softball field. I also coordinated issues with the
contractor and prepared client submittals.

for the construction phase of this project. I performed site visits for the
inspection of the structural components for the basketball standards. I
coordinated issues with the contractor, structural shop drawings review
including wind load calculations and prepared client submittals.

project scheduler to the program and was responsible for construction
scheduling for projects 740A, 779D and 779G. My duties included preparing the
baseline schedule; analyzing, updating the construction schedule; requesting
weekly reports of the status of construction generated by the trades; and
assessing time adherence to contract documents. I also performed risk
management and prepared impact schedules as required as the project
progresses.

I was assigned to
Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s (M-DWASD) South Miami Heights Water
Treatment Plant. My primary responsibility consisted of the following:
Reviewing and
accepting Critical Path Method (CPM) project schedules submitted by the
Contractor, which include the baseline schedule and the subsequent schedule
updates. Preparing technical reports which make full assessment of the
schedule submittals and integrate CPM analysis and Earned Value techniques to
assure contractual parameters are met and measure cost progress. Reviewing
Schedule of Values (SOV) prepared by Contractor. Making recommendations to
project management. I analyzed all technical aspects of construction
